摘要: The Sunda clouded leopard Neofelis diardi is an extremely challenging species to study and as such remains one of the least known world's larger (>10 kg) cats. We used a combination radio-tracking camera-trap surveys provide some fi rst insights into spatial temporal ecology this elusive felid. A female leopard, radio-tagged tracked over 109 days in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo, occupied home-range 16.1 km 2 core-range 5.4 (95% 50% xed- kernel estimators, respectively). Photographic records from three intensive surveys, amounting 135 independent capture events at 22 individuals, were pooled investigate patterns activity. leopards found be primarily, although not exclusively, nocturnal. compare our results with those two eld studies mainland N. nebulosa, Thailand. Although preliminary, data serve underscore need for more research wild cat.
