摘要: Abstract 1. The relation between feather replacement, body weight loss and temperature was studied during molt followed by a forced fasting in the Emperor penguin. existence of different physiological stages could be demonstrated. 2. No significant changes plasma glucose lactate detected or fasting. Constant high level suggests very good adaptation to 3. Plasma FFA increased when synthesis has finished (+90%) decreased at end D-3-hydroxybutyrate unchanged but failed 60% These might due hormonal fat store exhaustion. 4. Body energy metabolism are related, possible mechanisms allowing maintenance discussed.
