摘要: Abstract 1. In adult pigeons, starvation caused a sixfold increase in the concentration of d -3-hydroxybutyrate and twofold acetoacetate blood. 2. The major site production was liver. 3. Acetoacetate readily oxidized by extrahepatic tissue preparations but not liver slices. However, only kidney slices from fed or starved pigeons brain would rapidly oxidize -3-hydroxybutyrate. 4. Low activities dehydrogenase were found all tissues except kidney.
