Phytoferritin in the red alga Constantinea (Cryptonemiales)

摘要: Chloroplasts in reproductive blades of the marine red alga Constaninea subulifera contained crystalline aggregations phytoferritin. The native electron density particles' iron component was demonstrated unstained sections, sections deosmified with periodic acid, and specimens prepared without osmium postfixation. Year-old C. simplex phytoferritin, but phytoferritin not present young growing same thallus. These findings indicate that is produced as part senescence process annually replaced blades.
