摘要: Summary Objectives To describe the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, cerebrospinal fluid findings and outcome of Aspergillus meningitis, meningoencephalitis arachnoiditis. Methods A case meningitis is described. comprehensive review English-language literature was conducted to identify all reported cases described between January 1973 December 2011. Results Ninety-three (including one herein) were identified. Fifty-two (55.9%) in individuals without any predisposing factor or known causes immunosuppression. Acute chronic diagnosed 65.6% patients 24.7% them with remaining presenting spinal arachnoiditis ventriculitis. Cerebrospinal cultures for spp. positive about 31% galactomannan antigen test 87%. Diagnosis during life achieved 52 a fatality rate 50%. The overall 72.1%. Conclusions may occur both immunocompetent immunocompromised run an acute course. this systematic extend information on life-threatening infection could assist physicians achieving improved outcome.
