摘要: Over the last quarter of a century, huge effort has been made to develop interventions that can minimise ischaemia reperfusion injury. The most potent these are ischaemic conditioning strategies, which comprise preconditioning, remote preconditioning and postconditioning. While much focus for on protecting myocardium, other organs including kidney be similarly protected. However, translation beneficial effects from animal models into routine clinical practice less straightforward than expected. In this review, we examine role strategies in reducing tissue injury 'bench bedside' discuss barriers their greater translation.
