摘要: The potential role of altered immunity in the development asbestos-related tumors has been recognized for several years. This was evident when Report Advisory Committee on Asbestos Cancer to Director International Agency Research recommended that parameters immunocompetence should be evaluated asbestos-exposed patients (IARC, 1973). brief review is organized discuss some immunological alterations which have reported occur asbestos exposed populations and relate these findings possible inflammatory fibrogenic mechanisms related pulmonary immunopathological effects animals fibers. reader directed a recent by Rosenthal et al. (1998) additional information new developments immunotoxicity.
