摘要: A case of recurrent, disseminated retinoblastoma is presented. The primary intraocular tumor, a metastatic mass at recurrence, and the tumor cells infiltrating bone marrow were all positive for anti-GD2 monoclonal antibody (Mab) 3A7. Indirect immunofluorescence using 3A7 was an effective method detecting residual disease in marrow. After remission achieved by conventional therapy, patient underwent autologous transplantation (ABMT). preparative regimen consisted VP-16, cisplatinum, high-dose melphalan, total body irradiation. inoculum clean detection level 1:10,000. transplant course uneventful, well disease-free 17 months after ABMT. We conclude that chemotherapy irradiation ABMT setting feasible potentially curative approach to retinoblastoma.
