摘要: BACKGROUND AND AIM Even though health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is considered an important component bariatric surgery outcome, there a lack HRQOL measures relevant for preoperative and postoperative patients. The objective the current study was to develop new instrument assessing prior following surgery, entitled Quality Life Obesity Surgery (QOLOS) Questionnaire. METHODS Topics QOLOS were initially generated via open-ended interviews focus groups with 19 Qualitative analysis resulted in 250 items, which rated by patients (n = 101) experts (n = 69) terms their importance. A total 120 items retained further evaluation administered 220 219 They also completed battery other assessments analyze issues construct validity. RESULTS Analyses 36-item section 1 form targeting both aspects across seven domains (eating disturbances, physical functioning, body satisfaction, family support, social discrimination, positive activities, partnership) 20-item 2 focusing on concerns only (domains: excess skin, eating adjustment, dumping, satisfaction surgery).
