摘要: Introduction Research on long-term outcomes of children exposed to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in utero is lacking. Maternal inflammation, IBD medications or other factors may increase the risk developmental disabilities offspring. Methods We used Danish National Birth Cohort, an ongoing prospective study that includes 100,419 pregnancies 92,274 women, conjunction with Registries, evaluate cognitive and motor development women without IBD. analyzed basic measures childhood at 6-month 18-month interviews mother validated questionnaires filled out by parents when child was 7 years old. adjusted for multiple confounders, including preterm birth. Results At 6 months, we included 484 69,571 unexposed children; 18 471 66,018 unexposed; years, 391 54,356 unexposed. were significantly less likely "use word-like sounds" but there no difference between use "sentences 2 words." obvious differences language development. scores (emotional, conduct, hyperactivity, peer social scores) (gross/fine skills general coordination) similar two groups. Conclusions Children scored similarly survey-based tools assessing neurodevelopment over years. These results are reassuring current future
