摘要: Poly(vinyl alcohol) and ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymers have been phosphorylated with H3PO4 H3PO3. The samples possess pendent phosphate phosphite groups are significantly more flame retardant than the unmodified materials. retardance arises in part from a condensed-phase mechanism involving dehydration, crosslinking intumescent char formation, similar to that observed when certain phosphorus-based additives used poly(vinyl alcohol), cellulose other highly hydroxylated polymers, vapour-phase mechanism. Low-density polyethylene can also be rendered extent by phosphonylation.
