摘要: Cognitive remediation has proven efficacy for improving neurocognition in people with schizophrenia. The current study evaluated the benefits of cognitive on neurocognition, functioning, psychotic symptoms, and aggression a sample forensic mental health patients. Care recipients schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder (N = 78) receiving services units state hospital were randomized to participate versus computer games control activities. Participants' functional capacity, experiential recovery, incidents assessed at baseline posttreatment. was associated improvements several neurocognitive domains circumscribed capacity. People assigned experiences greater reductions negative agitation/excitement, verbal physical aggression. In addition long-term hospitalized patients, may enhance efforts reducing emotion dysregulation, incidents. Forensic settings represent new frontier clinical dissemination remediation.
