摘要: A hap ū (sub-tribe) research project draws on the responses of kuia (elderly female) and koroheke male) regarding health service provision for Ng ā ti Ruaka/Ng Hine ofR nana, Whanganui River. The found that have both a perspective experience M ori Western forms medicine healing practices provided by community-based practitioners, including tohunga (specialists), m tua (parents, other elders), Catholic sisters. Today, prefer services providers because these are aware ensure needs addressed appropriately, though some elderly continue to use general services. Research participants identified not currently at R be concerned others, actively involved in developing local enhance wellbeing current future generations.
