摘要: Objective This paper aims to synthesise the broader perspectives of Māori patients and their whānau (extended family, family group) treatment within public health system. Our research question was 'What are experiences in and/or hospital system Aotearoa New Zealand?' Methods A systematic search using PRISMA protocols reflexive typology organised around categories Māori, healthcare qualitative identified 14 papers that covered all three categories. We undertook a metasynthesis on these critical community psychology approach. Results from included mention both barriers facilitators health. categorised as organisational structures, staff interactions practical considerations. Facilitators were provision support form assistance, emotional care navigation. Conclusions For many existing is experienced hostile alienating. Whānau members provide mitigate this, but it comes cost whānau. Implications for health: Public providers must find ways ensure consistently experience positive, high-quality being.
