摘要: The ribosomal region spanning the two internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions and 5.8S DNA was sequenced for asexual, anthropophilic dermatophyte species with morphological similarity to Trichophyton rubrum, as well members of three previously delineated, related major clades in T. mentagrophytes complex. Representative isolates raubitschekii, fischeri, kanei were found have ITS sequences identical that rubrum. soudanense megninii differed from rubrum by only a small number base pairs. Their continued status species, however, appears meet criteria outlined population genetics-based cohesion concept A. R. Templeton. sequence tonsurans biologically distinct equinum 1 bp, while recently described krajdenii had teleomorph Arthroderma vanbreuseghemii.
