摘要: The spectrum of infectious complications during the first six months after 101 consecutive renal transplants was examined. most common sites infection were lungs, urinary tract, and surgical incision. causative organisms similar to those in nonimmunosuppressed postsurgical patients. infections usually recognized readily by routine clinical examination responded promptly antibacterial therapy. Three patients developed opportunistic infection. No patient died as a result As at several other institutions recent years, declining frequency serious or these immunosuppressed noted. However, results this study differed markedly from recently reported data which emphasize importance overt cytomegaloviral disease cause morbidity factor predisposing serious--often fatal--superinfection. These differences may be related immunosuppressive agents used certainly have important implications for diagnostic therapeutic management.
