摘要: Aging is associated with a loss in muscle mass, strength and an increase fat mass. The mean age of the population reaching non-preceding numbers so as obesity prevalence. As consequence, researchers clinicians are trying to understand impact changes body composition how help situation. terminology used describe age-related mass has evolved since 1989. To study change age, four distinctive categories older people have been studied: sarcopenic, dynapenic, sarcopenic-obese, dynapenic-obese. This chapter discusses prevalence, consequences, possible prevention/treatment strategies sarcopenia, dynapenia, sarcopenic obesity, dynapenic obesity. current literature shows that well-designed longitudinal studies show little or no association between sarcopenia risk impaired physical function, falls, mortality. Conversely, dynapenia consistently these outcomes. Studies showing best treatment for conditions unknown weight both loss. Physical activity, particularly resistance exercise, one most promising approaches preventing treating obese non-obese adults.
