摘要: Recent recommendations on feeding malnourished children do not provide indication the nature of dietary lipids. Our aim was to compare effect palm oil (mainly saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids) soybean polyunsaturated recovery from malnutrition in guinea pigs. In a first experiment, pigs received balanced (control group) or maize (malnourished diet for 7, 12, 21 d. second after 12 d malnutrition, rehabilitation containing oil. Both diets allowed partial severe weight loss induced by malnutrition. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances content, measured intestinal homogenates, increased compared with control animals (40%, p < 0.05) returned near values (10%) but (43%) diet. Intestinal short-circuit current, assessed jejunal segments mounted Ussing chambers, progressively during (p 0.001) both diets. Compared animals, cell turnover (Ki-67 index immunohistochemistry detection Ki-67 antigen) decreased (-60%, 0.01) These results confirm that experimental polydeficient induces oxidative stress dysfunction intestine. They show differential these measurements, suggesting composition lipids may be important treatment
