摘要: Although sea turtles live almost all their lives in the sea, they depend on terrestrial habitat for reproduction. Female come land short periods to lay eggs and hatchlings emerging from nests sand walk briefly before entering (probably forever if are males) marine habitat. Nesting occurs specific beaches, “nesting beaches” or “rookeries”, where majority of female population converges during nesting season.
