摘要: The discovery of icosahedral symmetry in rapidly solidified Al-Mn alloys1 has stimulated considerable research activity mainly because it appeared to violate the classical rules crystallography. Hence, left field open for numerous reports on rapidly-solidified phases with aluminium based alloys. However, a challenging goal materials scientists always been fabrication large quasicrystals that would allow further investigation crystallographic and physical properties this new form material. This paper first evidence triacontahedral solidification morphology quasicrystalline dendrites within an as-cast Al-Cu-Li alloy composition close Al6CuLi3 phase.
