摘要: Introduction: Women often develop malignant meso​(MM) without occupational asbestos exposure. Northern Jutland has a high prevalence of MM due to previously exposures asbestos. The aim this study was elucidate possible domestic exposure through first-degree relatives in women who MM. Material and methods: This retrospective with the pleura. A total 30 were diagnosed treated for from 1996 2012. In all, 24 included. Demographic data, subtype MM, time first hospital contact diagnosis, survival information on obtained records. Results: 12.5% population primarily exposed 46% had their husbands or sons. median age 66.5 years. 75% suffered epitheloid subtype, biphasic 8.4% sarcomatoid subtype. Time diagnosis one month 12 months. 1- 5- year-survival 58% 0%, respectively. Conclusion: Nearly 50% affected by have been domestically relatives.
