摘要: Blood, and the blood components, packed red cells (pRBC), platelet concentrate (PC), plasma cryoprecipitate, have traditionally been transfused to maintain or improve oxygen delivery, volume and/or haemostatic capacity. There is, however, emerging evidence that components may support other alternative functions beyond haemostasis. Thus, PC through their as innate immunological effector immune competence. Plasma its endothelial protective repairing vascular integrity hence outcome in critical illness. Erythrocytes thus pRBC be regulators of vascular, systems function, chemokine scavenging capacity crosstalk functions. Finally, cell derived vesicles present all seem influence a way goes far passive by-products. The review reveals, discusses, some new indications for transfusion.
