摘要: BACKGROUND/AIMS There are few available data regarding the association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of gene encoding interleukin 28B (IL28B) and a sustained virologic response (SVR) to peginterferon (PEG-IFN) plus ribavirin (RBV) therapy in Korean chronic hepatitis C patients. METHODS This was retrospective cohort study 156 patients with virus (HCV) infection who received combination treatment PEG-IFN RBV. Blood samples from these were analyzed identify IL28B SNPs at rs12979860, rs12980275, rs8099917, rs8103142. Association analyses performed evaluate relationships each SNP SVRs. RESULTS Seventy six HCV genotype 1 80 non-1 enrolled. The frequencies rs12979860 CC CT genotypes 90.4% 9.6%, respectively; those rs12980275 AA AG 87.2% 12.8%, rs8099917 TT TG 92.3% 7.7%, rs8103142 respectively. Among 1, SVR rates 69.7% 80.0% for CT, respectively (P=0.71). patients, 88.0% 100% (P=1.00), CONCLUSIONS Genotypes that known be favorable present most this study. Moreover, did not influence rate either or Therefore, analysis might useful initial assessment, prediction outcomes, decision-making
