摘要: Industrial applications of natural zeolites depend on their mineralogical, physical and chemical characteristics. Over the last 20 years, Australian have been investigated for use in various industrial applications. However, there are few, if any, mineral characterisation studies since early 1990s that modern techniques. In this study, a detailed mineralogical analysis was conducted zeolite specimens from Avoca Werris Creek deposits, located Queensland New-South-Wales, respectively, Australia. Their properties, thermal behaviour porosity, as well compositions were determined by conventional methods, including thermogravimetry, N2 adsorption/desorption, optical microscopy, XRF, situ XRD, SEM/EDS EPMA/WDS. High-precision, high-accuracy measurements fine-grained (<20 μm) performed thin section using accepted EPMA protocols data reduction methods. The identified magnesium heulandite/clinoptilolite-Ca which corrects interpretations earlier studies.
