Use of contemporary biomaterials in chronic osteomyelitis treatment: clinical lessons learned and literature review

摘要: Chronic osteomyelitis has always been a therapeutic challenge for patient and surgeon due to the specific problems related with bone infection bacterial biofilm eradication. Other than being cause of or facilitating spread persistence infection, biomaterials are also becoming tool in treatment infection. Certain novel have unique ideal properties that render them perfectly suited combat therefore used more chronic infections.
