摘要: The water needs of Eritrea are almost entirely met from groundwater resources. Except the reservoirs cities Asmara and Mendefera there no surface resources in country. Setit is only perennial river traversing a small southwestern tract available hardly cater to around 15% requirement people. In present situation development management viable solution. geology area, including basement rocks suitable as receptacles groundwater. Besides, country crisscrossed by many shears, fractures, normal faults, extension joints dykes which act conduits. As part management, aforestation, social forestry, horticulture grasslands be promoted extensively, initially central high land zone green belt that receive more than 800 mm rainfall. same programs extended, step-by-step western escarpment, southern lowland, northwestern low coastal zone, wears desert look. Both subsurface essential meet requirements avoid soil erosion associated problems.
