摘要: Abstract Introduction The organ shortage for transplantation, the principal factor that increases waiting lists, has become a serious public health problem. In this scenario, intensivist occupies prominent position as one of professionals first chance to identify brain death and be responsible maintenance potential deceased donor. Objective This report attempts establish guidelines care adult donor organs guiding standardizing provided patients with death. Method These were composed by intensivists, transplant coordinators, from various teams, used center. formulated questions forwarded all members recommendations constructed after an extensive literature review selecting articles highest degree evidence. Results Guidelines developed in form reflecting frequent experiences clinical intensive practices. main were: Is there optimal interval keeping donors viable? What actions are considered essential maintaining period? limits body temperature? How should patient warmed? Which laboratory tests performed? is collection interval? capture scenario? blood pressure? When how use catecholamines? Conclusions pioneer project involved multidisciplinary team working transplantation seeking provide treatment guidance increase number viable donors.
