摘要: Aim To compare soft-tissue dissolution by sodium hypochlorite, with an EDTA intermediate rinse, or without activation passive ultrasonic (PUI) sonic using the Endoactivator (EA) Eddy tips (ED). Methodology The root canals of eighty-three human maxillary central incisors were chemo-mechanically prepared and teeth split. A standardized longitudinal intracanal groove was created in one halves. Eighty-three porcine palatal mucosa samples collected, adapted to fit into grooves weighed. The re-assembled specimens randomly divided four experimental groups (n = 20), based on final rinse: no activation; EA; PUI; ED, 2.5% rinse. control group (n = 3) irrigated distilled water activation. solutions delivered a syringe needle 2 mm from working length. Total irrigation time 150 s, including 60 s specific groups. study carried out at 36 ± 2 °C. weighed after completion assays. Student paired t-test anova used assess intra- intergroup weight changes. multiple comparisons evaluated Bonferroni correction (α = 0.05). Results Weight loss occurred all Irrigant resulted greater when compared nonactivated [vs. EA (P = 0.001); vs. PUI (P < 0.001); ED (P < 0.001)]. No significant differences found amongst different systems. Conclusions Activation increased tissue-dissolving activity irrigants artificial incisors.
