摘要: The pathogenesis of poikilocytosis in calves was investigated. Nine 1 to 2 months old exhibiting (poikilocytic calves), were examined. proportion poikilocytes their blood more than 70% two (severely poikilocytic), while it averaged 30% the remaining seven (moderately poikilocytic). All polikilocytic exhibited mild anemia. concentration plasma iron 8 them 20-30% that normal calves, but increased as aged. polikilocyte count moderately poikilocytic decreased increase concentration, though a high poikilocyte observed severely calf even after reached level. Column chromatography hemoglobin preparation from all examined revealed 5 distinct peaks. Three peaks embryonic, fetal and adult hemoglobins, respectively. other tentatively designated Hb-2 Hb-3, amount about three times including those poikilocytic, decrease one related reduction its peripheral blood. There no significant difference age-dependent changes types between calves. Furthermore, SDS-PAGE analysis red cell membrane protein 4.2 consisted polypeptides single polypeptide These results indicated abnormalities composition erythrocyte might be responsible for morphological erythrocytes, whereas deficiency thought predominant cause
