摘要: Proteoglycans extracted from rabbit corneal stroma can be separated by ion exchange and gel chromatography into two proteokeratan sulfates (PKS-I, PKS-II) proteodermatan (PDS-I, PDS-II). PKS-I (21% of the total glycosaminoglycans) contains 48% protein, PKS-II (43% total) has 57% protein. In both, only hexosamine is glucosamine, 7% which found in oligosaccharides. There much more sialic acid oligosaccharides than PKS-I, amino compositions proteoglycans differ significantly. The keratan isolated them papain digestion are different size, but both digested endo-beta-galactosidase. PDS-I (30% 32% 35% its uronic iduronic acid. PDS-II (6% 42% as iduronic. general, four resembled those human bovine being smaller protein-rich cartilage.
