摘要: BACKGROUND: We examined the influence of interindividual differences in alcohol use on intraindividual associations drinking occurrence with interpersonal behaviors, affect, and perceptions others during naturally occurring social interactions. METHODS: For 14 consecutive days, 219 psychology freshmen (55% female; Mage = 20.7 years, SD 2.18) recorded their interactions soon after an event occurred. Interpersonal behaviors were assessed terms dominance-submissiveness agreeableness-quarrelsomeness. Participants also reported number alcoholic drinks consumed within 3 hours each interaction. considered (i) having a episode (ii) frequency intensity as potential moderators these associations. RESULTS: Social moderated between During episode, more frequent drinkers perceived dominant than less drinkers. which was usual, behaving dominantly experiencing pleasant affect. CONCLUSIONS: As had different responses to drinkers, including when they larger amounts our results suggest differential susceptibility effects among varying frequency.
