摘要: Article history The aim of the present study was to evaluate and compare relative contributions different polyphenols antioxidants activities parts plant Terminalia glaucescens. Preliminary phytochemical screening crude extracts solvent fractions root, stem leaves carried out using standard procedures. Quantitative determination total phenolic flavonoid contents (TPC TFC) test materials were Folin Ciocalteu aluminum chloride colorimetric methods respectively. in-vitro antioxidant activity investigated model; 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. results showed that TPC methanol fraction (96.50±0.25 mg GAE/g extract) significantly higher than other fractions. Flavonoids found more in leaf those from with exception ethyl acetate which a slightly content. Phytochemical T. glaucescens revealed presence anthraquinones, cardiac glycosides, flavonoids, saponins, phlobatannins carbohydrates at varying degrees. IC50 value based on DPPH extract (2.97±1.0 mg/ml) lowest when compared or suggesting potentially better properties. A marginally positive correlation between values for TFC. These data therefore alcoholic should be preferentially utilized health conditions where may desirable.
