摘要: The antimicrobial activities of the ethanolic extracts three Nigerian chewing sticks, namely, Terminalia glaucescens, Anogeissus leiocarpus and Pseudocedrela kotschyi were investigated. Results from this study showed that tested sticks vary are target-microbe specific. Of A. a significantly higher antibacterial activity (P<0.05) against Staphylococcus aureus Streptococcus pyogenes; was closely followed by T. while P. virtually had no these two organisms. However, glaucescens mutans than exhibited leiocarpus. Candida albicans. potent made them suitable for better dental care.
