摘要: Managed aquifer recharge (MAR) is the intentional of water to suitable aquifers for subsequent beneficial use or achieve environmental benefits. Well injection techniques MAR, such as Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR), rely on implementing appropriate design defining operational parameters minimise well clogging maintain sustainable rates over long term. The purpose this study was develop quality targets pre-treatment requirements recycled allow sustained recovery in a medium-coarse siliceous aquifer. blend 40% Class A 60% reverse osmosis (RO)-treated water. Four source waters MAR were evaluated: (1) with no further treatment, additional treatment using: (2) 20 µm sediment cartridge filter, (3) 5 (4) granular activated carbon (GAC) filter. All four options also disinfected chlorine. blended treated used laboratory columns packed material under saturated conditions at constant temperature (20.7 °C) light excluded up 42 days. Substantial differences changes hydraulic conductivity observed different treatments within 14 days experiment, despite low turbidity (<2 NTU) waters. After days, GAC-treated had 7% decline conductivity, which very from other three waters, declines 39–52%. Based these results consistent previous studies, target biodegradable dissolved organic (BDOC) level <0.2 mg/L recommended ensure biologically stable reduce during recharge.
