Challenges with smart cities initiatives – A municipal decision makers’ perspective

摘要: The European Nations foresee a growing population and trending urbanization that pose significant environmental social concerns. To manage these concerns municipal decision makers’ attempt to leverage the smart city concept with collaboration between external actors as means maintain prepossessed living standard in city.By developing framework based on existing literature validating it makers view framework, this paper attempts further discussion predominant challenges initiatives from perspective mid-sized cities.The study is pre-study conducted via 39 interviews 25 different EU-cities. This followed by 12 10 cities. results show mainly perceive non-technical issues such collaboration, economical, governance awareness of technology – however security not perceived challenge. (Less)
