Relationship between child centered play therapy and developmental levels of young children: A single case analysis.

摘要: This study used a single case design to explore the relationship between individual child-centered play therapy on children with developmental delays by examining its effectiveness in: 1) increasing measured age; 2) reducing problematic behaviors related delays; and 3) developmentally appropriate behaviors. Three participants were assessed weekly both behavioral measures during three phases of study: baseline, intervention, follow up. Additionally, parents completed at pretest, midpoint, posttest administrations. The participant's standard scores graphed results examined separately using visual analyses. Changes phases: non-intervention follow-up examined; specifically, level, trend, variability data across examined. Each served as their own control group in this analysis results, all demonstrated improvement after receiving intervention. Results from suggest need for further replication, use reporting interventions designs, promote efficacy counseling potentially enhance literature research base evidence based interventions.
