摘要: Abstract β-endorphin was incubated with rat brain homogenate, and the amino acids released were measured by acid analysis. Phe, Leu, Tyr, Lys liberated in greatest amount indicating that cleavage of Leu77-Phe78 some Lys-X peptide bonds endopeptidases followed removal terminal residues exopeptidases are main routes degradation brain. Bacitracin considerably reduced release from its action is suggested to be due inhibition amino- carboxypeptidases. also potentiated prolonged vivo analgesic activity β-endorphin.
