摘要: Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a heterogeneous chronic inflammatory condition of the paranasal sinuses and nasal passage. It characterized as inflammation sinonasal passage, presenting with two or more symptoms (nasal blockage, secretions, facial pain headaches) for than 12 weeks consecutively. The disease phenotypically differentiated based on presence polyps; CRS polyps (CRSwNP) without (CRSsNP). Traditionally, CRSwNP has been associated type 2 profile, while CRSsNP 1 profile. Extensive work in characterizing profiles patients challenged this dichotomy, great variation both between within populations described. Recent efforts endotyping underlying pathophysiology have further highlighted heterogeneity disease, revealing mixed coordinated by number cell types. This review will highlight current understanding CRS, discuss importance impact refining development appropriate treatment options sufferers.
