摘要: Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC x GC) is shown to provide information on dynamic molecular behaviour (interconversion), with the interconversion process occurring both columns in coupled-column experiment. The experiment requires suitable adjustment of experimental conditions and relative dimensions each columns. In this case, a longer column than normally employed GC allows sufficient retention duration second column, which permits typical plateau-shape recognised for be observed. extent depends prevailing temperature, time, phase type. Polyethylene glycol-based phases were found result high kinetics, although terephthalic acid-terminated polyethylene glycol had lesser interconversion. Much less was seen phenyl-methylpolysiloxane cyclodextrin phases. This suggests that oximes, largely occurs stationary phase. Examples different extents are shown, including peak coalescence first little column.
