摘要: Intracranial self-stimulation (ICSS) of the lateral hypothalamus (LH) is involved in activation neuroanatomical systems that are also associated with processing natural and other artificial rewarding stimuli. Specific components this behavior (hedonic impact, learning, motor behavior) may involve changes different neurotransmitters, such as dopamine opioids. In study, quantitative autoradiography was used to examine mu-opioid D1/D2-dopamine receptor expression various anatomical regions related mesolimbic reward after intracranial LH. Results behavioral procedure subsequent radiochemical assays show selective D1 but not D2 or mu receptors Accumbens-Shell, Ventral Pallidum, Caudate-Putamen, Medial Globus Pallidus. These findings discussed relation psychobiological appetitive motivational system, identifying some dissociation among them, particularly respect involvement D1-dopamine subsystem (but receptors) goal-directed behaviors.
