摘要: The characteristics of the rice grain, particularly its hard, tight husk and nutrient content, make it an ideal grain to accompany migrating people. This paper discusses diversity movement from a historical perspective by providing contrasting examples homeland Asian rice, Madagascar West Africa. value modern analytical techniques understand origin, diversification is discussed. following points emerge: 1. No evidence exists support center origin being same area, molecular studies multiple domestication events probably over wide area. 2. Inter-subspecific hybridization after genetic bottleneck account for much traditional Madagascar. 3. Introduction (O. sativa) Africa has resulted in partial replacement indigenous African O. glaberrima, introgression occurred into recently new interspecific genepool been developed researchers with aim combining best characters both species.
