摘要: Abstract Knowledge workers (KW), as important individual agents who embody, exchange, create and exploit knowledge, contribute to regional competitiveness growth. To attract retain them in a region, it is necessary have better understanding of their fundamental spatially-related behaviors including residence, workplace, commute choices. In this study, we depart from perspective knowledge typology (analytical-synthetic-symbolic base) investigate the heterogeneity workers' The case study was conducted metropolitan region Munich. Various types data are integrated: structural statistical individually-based web-survey data; individuals' actual choices assessment importance for each criterion; positional relational data. We find that symbolic Advanced-Producer-Services (APS) tend reside central areas use public transport or active modes commute. contrast, synthetic high-tech found relatively peripheral depend more on cars reach workplaces. analytical synthetic-APS positioned between APS-workers workers. three conclusions: Firstly, features base evident spatial Secondly, there consistency characteristics interrelated spaces surrounding well along path Lastly, while influence has be weighed against socio-demographic factors, different groups clearly display distinct residential location mode.
