Clinical results of the maxillary protraction in Korean children

摘要: Sixty subjects with ages ranging from 8 to 13 years were divided into two groups according the intraoral appliances used. Group I consisted of 47 rapid palatal expansion (RPE) and group II labiolingual (La/Li). was subdivided three subgroups by age timing protraction. The cephalometric radiographs all analyzed before after correction anterior crossbite. following results obtained: (1) After maxillary protraction, maxilla dentitions moved forward downward, mandible mandibular backward downward. (2) more in RPE group, compared La/Li group. (3) plane angle decreased protraction-during-palatal-expansion than protraction-after-palatal-expansion (4) Age did not show any statistically significant difference.
