摘要: In a recent paper in this journal, Suh [Suh, S., 2004. Functions, commodities and environmental impacts an ecological-economic model. Ecological Economics 40 (4), 451-467.] presented model combining life cycle assessment (LCA) with input–output analysis (IOA); termed “integrated hybrid LCA”. paper, we discuss various issues relating to the use of integrated LCA approach. particular, interpretation downstream feedback term, Cd, is discussed particular focus on practical implementation. two interpretations Cd are suggested depending data used. If designed for demand functional unit only, then it argued that term negligible many applications. compatible arbitrary demand, cases consistent implies requirements may not be justified by potential gains.
