摘要: This chapter describes a conceptual and mathematical model that postulates two processes determine sleep propensity in humans. Process S is function of wakefulness. Its level declines exponentially during rises The rate decline was estimated from electroencephalographic (EEG) power density values representing slow-wave activity, which had been recorded for regular period as well recovery after extended rise process obtained by interpolating the activity at beginning end periods (6). C represents circadian independent Circadian highest early morning hours lowest afternoon. In model, represented sine modulates threshold defining time termination.
