摘要: Broadly viewed, global health and medicine ( GHM ) is the study of health, illness, practice care in one culture order to bene® t another culture. Sometimes, international borders are crossed for other cultures. More often, changing locales within a country or even neighborhoods city enables encounters with people who speak different language, religion, eat foods engage seemingly strange medical practices. Until recently, predominant model was transport western, science-based disease practices scienti® cally unsophisticated cultures Mahler, 1997 ). This can be highly effective preventing infectious saving earthquake victims.
