摘要: Advancements in genomic technology and genetic research have uncovered new unforeseen ethical legal issues that must now be faced by clinician–researchers. However, lack of adequate training places clinician–researchers a position where they might unable to effectively assess resolve the presented them. The literature demonstrates ethics education is relevant engaging it targeted level context learners, includes real-world based cases approached innovative ways. In order test feasibility combined approach education, conference was held 2012 raise awareness familiarize participants with surrounding medical genetics then them apply this reality-based case studies. included from variety backgrounds divided into three sections: (i) informative presentations experts field; (ii) mock REB deliberations; (iii) second mock-REB, conducted panel experts. Feedback positive indicated felt learning objectives had been met material clear organized fashion. Although only an example particular setting, success suggests combining small group learning, practical cases, role-play interdisciplinary provides experience effective education.
