摘要: Alloreactivity of donor lymphocytes leads to graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) contributing significant morbidity and mortality following allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). Within the past decade, progress has been made in elucidating mechanisms underlying immunologic dysregulation characteristic GVHD. The recent discoveries different subpopulations with immune regulatory function led a number studies aimed at understanding their role HCT possible application for prevention treatment GVHD host other immune-mediated diseases. Preclinical animal modeling helped define potential roles distinct populations cells that have progressed clinical translation promising early results.
