摘要: Metal foams are a cellular structure that has solid matrix made of metal and pores in their structure. offer excellent combination properties which led researchers interested investigation recent years. Closed-cell stainless steel (SS316L) for biomedical application were prepared by space holder method the physical morphological SS316L studied. Stainless powders as metallic material, polyethylene glycol (PEG) binder Urea material mixed homogenously to avoid particle wrecked. This mixture was compacted using uniaxial pressing machine pressurized 8 tons formed green body. By tube furnace, two-stage sintered, first phase at 600°C 2 hours decompose urea, second 1000°C, 1100°C, 1200°C respectively sinter steel. The porosity density test carried out applying Archimedean principles, while observation done Field Emission Scanning Electron (FESEM). samples with 40wt.% composition sintered temperature leads porosities about 44.539% show potential best foams.
