摘要: Abstract The power of total coliforms (TC), faecal (FC) and Enterococci to predict the presence Salmonella in seawater was investigated. Indicator cut-off values with most satisfactory combination sensitivity specificity predicting were 1000 CFU 100 ml−1 TC, 200 CFU 100 ml−1 FC, 500 CFU 100 ml−1 Enterococci. When TC or FC used for prediction logistic regression, then addition another indicator did not have a statistically significant effect. prediction, either two other indicators led improvement (P = 0.001 TC, P = 0.003 FC). These results suggest that using alone provided an adequate presence, but is possible over alone. Concerning Enterococci, European Union limits excellent coastal water quality (100 CFU 100 ml−1) United States Environmental Protection Agency criteria marine bathing waters (35 CFU 100 ml−1) same value absence (92.5%).
